Bungee jumping Six Flags NJ
What’s on your bucket list? Some of the most popular goals, desires, and determinations can be completed at Six Flags Great Adventure. Here are some common bucket list ideas that you can fulfill at the park and cross off your list.
1. Soar through the air.
Many people dream of skydiving or bungee jumping for the ultimate free-falling thrill. At Six Flags Great Adventure, we have a daring ride called Dare Devil Dive. You’ll climb to the top of a 15.5-story tower, take a dive from the top, and plunge down at 60 miles per hour. You’ll soar above the park as the ripcord swings side to side and dangles you free in the air. Want to satisfy the experience of falling through the sky? Check.
2. Go white water rafting.
Beginning Memorial Day weekend, you can experience an authentic whitewater adventure on Congo Rapids. Our 12-person rafts will float down the raging river, twisting and turning as you encounter rocky patches, wild waterfalls, and turbulent currents. You never know which way the untamed waves will twist your boat—just like a real whitewater journey. These obstacles will make your drift unpredictable and very wet.
3. Conquer a fear of heights.
You’re determined to overcome your fear of heights, and what better way than by riding some sky-scraping rides? It’s a long way down from the top of the 19-story El Toro, one of the world’s fastest and tallest wooden coasters. You can also see the view from the top of Nitro, as you blast up to an incredible 230 feet. Additionally, you can really face your fears as you lie face-down and soar 115 feet high on SUPERMAN: Ultimate Flight. You can also soar among the clouds on SkyScreamer, our 24-story towering swing ride. Plus, as the tallest coaster in the world, Kingda Ka gives you a chance to overcome your fear of heights while catapulting up 45 stories.
4. Meet someone famous.
How about several famous characters? Only at Six Flags can you meet the entire Looney Tunes gang, including Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Daffy Duck, and Sylvester. They’re all waiting to greet you. You can take a photo with your favorite character and enjoy the rides named and themed after them.
5. Complete a backflip.
You can flip head-over-heels at Six Flags without even taking gymnastics. On Bizarro, you’ll overturn a total of seven times times in the 3, 985-foot-long spiraling, looping, and rolling track. Fly on SUPERMAN: Ultimate Flight, where you’ll soar head-first through curves, spirals, and loops until you don’t know which way is up. And On BATMAN The Ride, you’ll face a stunning five somersaulting inversions.
6. Break a world record.
Many people dream of breaking a world record, and at Six Flags Great Adventure, you can be a part of record-breaking history. At 3, 118 feet long, 128 miles per hour, and 456 feet tall, Kingda Ka breaks all records as the tallest coaster in the world and the fastest on the continent. Furthermore, El Toro features one of the world’s steepest drops on a wooden coaster, at a record-breaking 76 degrees.
7. Go on an African Safari.
You can experience a realistic safari adventure without leaving Six Flags. Our Safari Off Road Adventure is slated to open Memorial Day Weekend and will take you up-close to observe and interact with all your favorite animals. Your authentic, massive safari vehicle will cross through rugged terrain so you can encounter giraffes, rhinos, elephants, kangaroos, elk, lions, and other animal species. You’ll also get a chance to zipline across the lands or the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hand-feed a giraffe.
