Tandem bungee jump West ed
Alberta, Canada, features only one site for bungee jumping, but it's one of the world's most unconventional. Located inside the internationally renowned West Edmonton Mall, Blue Thunder Bungee is the highest indoor jump in the world at the time of publication. Although it may be the only site for bungee jumping in the entire province, at 106 feet high, it's an exhilarating experience that is clearly hard to compete against.
Because Blue Thunder Bungee is indoors, it is not limited by season like some outdoor bungees. It is open year round, though working days and hours are vary by season and can be found on the company website, in addition to information on group discounts and tandem bungee jumps. The Center of Gravity Kiosk can be found outside of the World Water Park inside West Edmonton Mall in Alberta.
In addition to being the highest indoor bungee jump above the biggest indoor wave pool in the biggest indoor water park at the largest mall in North America, there are even more records that have been set at the facility. On Nov. 5, 2007, Peter Charney jumped 225 times in a 24-hour period, setting the new Guinness World Record.
Alternatives to Bungee Jumping
Although Blue Thunder Bungee is the only true bungee jump available in Alberta, nearby Calgary has a Eurobungy at the Canada Olympic Park (winsportcanada.ca), which is a waist-harnessed jumping bungee above a trampoline with no free fall.
